What does this change mean in practice?

Until June 2026, the shareholder register statement was submitted through Altinn. This functionality has now been phased out, and the Norwegian Tax Administration now requires that:

  • the reporting must be submitted through an approved end-user system

  • companies must ensure that their systems support the new reporting method

  • any necessary adjustments must be made before the deadline

For companies using systems that do not support this functionality, the system will need to be upgraded or replaced.

Is your company a standalone limited liability company with no ownership changes or capital events? Then you can submit the shareholder register statement for free with AKSJA – Equro's simple solution for exactly this.

Equro clients do not need to make any changes

For companies that are already clients of Equro, this change will have no practical consequences.

Equro has for several years submitted the shareholder register statement through our own approved end-user system.

This means that:

  • you are already compliant with the Tax Administration’s requirements

  • we handle the entire reporting process on your behalf

  • no changes or actions are required

In short: Equro clients are already prepared for 2026.

Do you have additional companies that require reporting?

If you manage or are responsible for additional companies that also need to submit the shareholder register statement via an end-user system, we can easily add these entities to the Equro platform.

This provides:

  • a consolidated overview

  • efficient and accurate reporting

  • fewer systems to manage

Just let us know — we’ll take care of the rest.
